the soundtrack of my life

I have compiled a list of fifteen albums that have shaped and, in ways, informed my concept of self, or world view, throughout the years of my life thus far.

During much careful contemplation, on a Wednesday's trek back home from class, I meticulously constructed this list in my head, while being reminded of particular and remarkable "eras" that have expressed the conceptual embodiment of my soul at that specific point in time, ex. 8th grade - punk rock phase - faux-rebellion = Brand New.

(In no particular order)

I remember punk rock phase. I remember the CD you gave me in 7th grade. That probably sparked my interest in rock music too.

...so should I post a picture of you on my blog?

Yesssss! As I was looking through the list I could really see how every one of them has shaped you.

I like that looking through this I can see where we became friends, in what music era, and what I loved too, what I borrowed. Probably in all friendships that happens. But I think it is really neat, it is one of the factors that brought us all together.

This made me chuckle. Although i dont like the word chuckle, it is like a masculine/creepy version of giggle. Haha. But very true, i see all of them.

Your comment on Suzie's post almost made me cry. For real. As i sit here in a coffee shop 7000 miles away and 3 years in the future with four new friends.

I do remember! I was actually always secretly a little bummed when you moved more towards the church planting idea. I guess i am just a vagabond at heart, haha. And dude, that is funny cause i am totally getting a car in less than two weeks! I told suzie in the letter i just sent, so dont mention it to her yet, but ROAD TRIIIIIIPPPP!!!!! She mentioned you guys were talking about one, and i am super down.

The car belongs to my buddy JR who is moving to Qatar to do some contract work. The car is a little two door pontiac G5 that he is gonna sell to me for $3500. It gets upwards of 30 miles to the gallon and has an iPod hookup as well! I really am just getting it to be more like you, haha. Mark and I are gonna drive him home to Indiana next wednesday and then i will drive back with my own car. Loans willing! Haha. I am gonna be broke for the rest of my life...but it will be nice to have!

So yeah, i don't know how i will really fit in to Chinese Waters after our last big conversation...cause if anything i have gone further in the direction i was going...but i still kind of want to help as strange as that sounds. Like before, nothing to explain via interweb. I will talk to you soon though.
